Question:  What value to women bring to the construction industry?

"The Construction world has notoriously been male dominated. Having women as a part of this industry plays a part in breaking gender bias, showing young girls that when they choose their future career, they can become anything they want to be. Our industry is also currently experiencing a significant labor shortage. Not only could women play a significant role in changing that dynamic, but offer a more diverse approach to problem solving, systems creation, relationship building and keeping up with the fast-changing technological aspect of every aspect of our industry."

About Women in Construction Week:
The focus of Women in Construction (WIC) Week is to highlight women as a viable component of the construction industry. WIC Week also provides an occasion for NAWIC’s thousands of members across the country to raise awareness of the opportunities available for women in the construction industry and to emphasize the growing role of women in the industry.
